Failed to get out yesterday due to lack of wind and heard there was some today so was looking forward to it. Got up early to see no wind outside in Aylesbury but after checking the web I decided it was looking good.

Got to Brog about 11am. There wer'nt many people there when I got there but in the afternoon I counted over 30 people out windsurfing at one time (amazed!!!). Anyway, got there and thought 'fuck me it's windy'. Didn't know whether to try the 6.0m or the 8.0m so I rigged up the 6.0m but was dissapointed to not get enough power. After an hour I came in and rigged up the 8.0m. This I knew was gonna push my abilities cause I ain't used the 8.0m in anything like the wind it was today. But what a joy!!!! Was planing well but decided that I don't really know what I'm doing and that everything I learnt in Dahab last year had een forgotten dammit. Still had a great time, am still getting used to riding the 135l xcite and found it difficult to bear off wind sometimes, after uphauling but I remember have similiar trouble on the techno when I started so think this will improve. Also felt like I was continuoesly resisting catapults. I only did catapult once so must have done a good job :). I do feel I'm not doing something right though. Anyway, why can't there be more days lke today at weekends??? Got very tired in the end having to uphaul the 8.0m as I was falling in quite a bit (horror!!). Left about 4pm absolutely knackered.

Best session so far this year I think (even beats Turkey). Gotta be five stars.
